NUPS-G Legon delivered a composed and consistent performance to defeat CASA KNUST and NUPS-G UENR in Contest Eleven of the 1/8th Stage of the 2026 National Bible Quiz, securing their place in the quarter-finals with 33 points.

The One-Eighth Stage contest brought together three campus ministries, all competing for a coveted place in the next round. However, NUPS-G Legon gradually established their authority, maintained their lead throughout the contest and produced a decisive surge in Round 4 to put the result beyond doubt.

NUPS-G Legon Set the Pace

NUPS-G Legon made a confident start, finishing the first round with 9 points to take the lead.

CASA KNUST followed with 6 points, while NUPS-G UENR recorded 3 points. With six points separating the three teams, the contest remained open, but NUPS-G Legon had made the first statement.

Building Momentum

NUPS-G Legon continued to make steady progress in Round 2, adding seven points to move to 16 points.

CASA KNUST advanced to 10 points, while NUPS-G UENR moved to 5. Although their challengers remained in contention, NUPS-G Legon were beginning to establish control of the contest.

The Leaders Hold Firm

The Test of the Day saw NUPS-G Legon extend their tally to 20 points, maintaining their position at the top.

CASA KNUST moved to 12 points, while NUPS-G UENR made a stronger push to reach 9 points.

With two rounds remaining, NUPS-G Legon held an eight-point advantage over CASA KNUST. Their lead was growing, but the contest was not yet settled.

The Decisive Surge

The True or False proved to be the defining moment of the contest.

NUPS-G Legon produced an impressive 10-point round, taking their score from 20 to 30 points and opening up a commanding lead.

CASA KNUST reached 17 points, while NUPS-G UENR advanced to 14. With a 13-point cushion over their nearest challengers, NUPS-G Legon had placed themselves in a strong position heading into the final round.

NUPS-G Legon Seal Their Quarter-Final Place

NUPS-G Legon completed their performance with three additional points to finish on 33 points.

CASA KNUST mounted a strong late challenge, adding eight points in the final round to finish on 25. NUPS-G UENR ended the contest on 14 points.

NUPS-G Legon’s victory was built on consistency, composure and a decisive fourth-round performance. By leading from the first round and responding effectively at every stage, they secured a well-deserved place in the NBQ2026 Quarter-Finals.
