The first Pilot Season of the National Bible Quiz project began 19th February 2022 at the University of Ghana with a Church called LifeCity Church.
A total of 18 Teams from the Church participated in the competition. These contestants represented 18 Halls and Hostels from University of Ghana, in an Inter-Halls Championship Bible Quiz Championship.
After several fierce contests, 9 Halls/Hostels made it to the Semi-Final. The first to make it to the semis was African Union Hall, also called Pentagon Hostel, who contested Volta Hall and Non-residents.
Legon Hall battled it out with Commonwealth Hall and Alexander Kwapong Hall, who took turns to lead respective rounds. At the end of the 5th round, Legon Hall booked the second semi final slot of the season. The contest was too hot for James Topp Nelson Yankah Hall (TF Hostels).
In the end, Kwapong also made their way into the Semi Final, being part of the 3 losing teams with high scores.
The next contest was equally exciting. Bani Hostel, Evandy Hostels and James Topp Nelson Yankah Hall (TF Hostels) battled it out. Bani really showed their strength by suffocating their opponents, winning with 52 points at the end of the contest. Evandy eventually made it to the semi finals after scroing 44 points as of the 3 losing teams with high scores.
In the fourth preliminary contest, Jubilee Hall also qualified after winning against Elizabeth Frances Sey Hall and Hilla Limann Hall. As luck would have it for Limann, they narrowly entered the semi final as one of the 3 losing teams with high scores.
The 5th Preliminary contest was between Okponglo Hostels, Winsconsin Hostels and Jean Nelson Aka Hall. It was a very close contest till the last round. Okponglo Hostels emerged the winners and made their way into the semi-finals.
The final preliminary contest was between Mensah Sarbah Hall, Akuafo Hall and Leonardo Hostel. It was also close till the 5th round, where Mensah Sarbah Hall won and entered the semi final too.
Our Nine Semi Finalists were now set, to battle for places in the final.

These were also fierce, exciting and intriguing contests.
In our first semi-final contest, Pentagon Hostel battled it out with Legon Hall and Alexander Kwapong Hall. It was a very close contest till the last round and the very last riddle. Pentagon Hostel were quite frankly the fastest and answered the winning riddle on the last clue to beat Kwapong by 2 points and secure a spot in the final.
The next contest was equally exciting. Bani Hostel, Jubilee Hall and Evandy Hostels battled it out. Jubilee Hall really showed their strength and eventually made it to the finals.
The last semi final contest was between Okponglo Hostels, Mensah Sarbah Hall and Hilla Limann Hall. It was very close till the 5th round, where Okponglo Hostels stole the last riddle to deny Mensah Sarbah a place in the final. Hence, Hilla Limann won the semi final with a single point difference over Sarbah.
The Grand Finale was set: Pentagon Hostel v Jubilee Hall v Hilla Limann Hall.
Pentagon and Jubilee were represented by all-male team and Hilla Limann presented an all-female team.
