Deeper Life Campus Fellowship – University of Ghana has qualified for the Grand Finale of the 2023 Inter-Church Bible Quiz, University of Ghana. The beat Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA) and Global Evangelical Students and Associates Ministry (GESAM) in the first Semi-final contest for the season.
Deeper Life was represented by Chukwuemeka Daniel and Bright Paintsil. The PENSA team was Esther Darko and David Awinbora and the GESAM team was Sedinam Sebuava and Eunice Trovel Ababio.
The Contest was fierce and scincillating.
The Deeper Life team quicly took the lead in the first round accumulating 11 points over PENSA and GESAM who scored 9 and 5 respectively.
The speed race was very exciting as the teams took turns to answer the questions with speed and accuracy. At the end of the round, Deeper Life took a 10-point lead over PENSA who accumulated 11 points. GESAM lost a point and ende the round with 4 points.
Round 3 was the test of the day. The test required the teams to give one significant even which happened at or give one significant description of 10 stops in the exodus journey.
After 4 minutes of presenting their answers in this round, GESAM scored 2 points, PENSA scored 5 and Deeper Life scored 6 points which brought the tallies to 6, 16 and 27 respectively.
GESAM tried to pull themselves back up in round 4, True or False. They score 9 points, PENSA scored 7 and Deeper Life scored 10. At the end of round 4, the accumulated scores were 15, 23 and 37 for GESAM, PENSA and Deeper Life respectively.
Deeper Life answered two of the four riddles in the fifth and final round to earn a total of 6 points.
With this, Deeper Life won the contest after accumulating a total of 43 points.
Deeper Life became the first team to secure a slot in the Grand Finale. It was a win well-deserved after an exciting contest.
