The One-Eighth Stage of the 2025 National Bible Quiz continued to deliver some of its most dramatic contests yet, as CASA UMaT, PAX UENR, and NUPS-G ATU clashed in a fiercely competitive three-way encounter for a place in the quarterfinals.
The contest lived up to expectations from the very first round, with all three teams showing determination and composure as they battled for control.
Early Edge for PAX
At the end of Round One, PAX UENR held a slim lead with 10 points, closely followed by CASA UMaT with 9 points, while NUPS-G ATU trailed with 2 points. The narrow margin set the tone for what would become a tightly contested affair.
CASA Take the Lead
In Round Two, CASA UMaT found their rhythm and edged ahead of PAX, moving to 11 points while PAX remained on 10 points. NUPS-G ATU stayed on 2 points as the battle for the lead intensified between the top two sides.
CASA Extend Advantage
CASA UMaT continued to build momentum in the third round, extending their lead to 14 points. PAX UENR remained on 10 points, while NUPS-G ATU were still searching for answers on 2 points. At this stage, CASA appeared firmly in control.
The Contest Reignites
Round Four brought a dramatic shift in momentum. PAX UENR surged to 16 points, while NUPS-G ATU mounted a strong comeback to reach 15 points. Despite the pressure, CASA UMaT maintained their lead with 22 points, but the gap had narrowed significantly, setting up a thrilling final round.
A Deadlock at the Top
The final round delivered high drama as PAX UENR drew level with CASA UMaT at 22 points, while NUPS-G ATU finished just behind with 21 points. With the scores tied at the top, the contest had to be decided by a tie-breaker.
Tie-Breaker – CASA Hold Their Nerve
In the decisive moment, CASA UMaT demonstrated composure under pressure, answering correctly in the tie-breaker after PAX UENR failed to do so, to secure victory and eliminate both PAX UENR and NUPS-G ATU.
