Atomic Hostels, one of the 24 Teams which participated in the 2nd Pilot Season of the Bible Quiz has been crowned the winners of the Second Season of the championship.
The Team which was represented by Vivian Agyeiwaa and Moses Banahene, bulldozed their way in a frantic final which also featured Hilla Limann Hall, the first season winners, and UPSA LifeCity Church, who were tipped by many to win the final, referencing their great form in their Semi Final Contest.
Atomic Hostels made it to the final with a 3 point difference in their fiercely contested Semi-Final against GIMPA Hostels and TF Hostel. It was so close a contest, and the winner could only be decided after the last riddle. Similarly, Hilla Limann’s Semi-Final contest was very open with no clear winner until the final stages. It was UPSA LifeCity who really proved why they should be in the final, during their Semi-Final contest. They led right from the first round, and kept increasing their lead after each round, till they finished the contest with a 26 point gap! That was a big statement, and UPSA were really fancied by many to win the grand finale.
Atomic Hostels had a great day in the Grand Finale. They led the contest right from the first round, and increased their gap with the second round. In round 3, the test of the day, they were the only team who understood what the consultants were asking for, scoring 8 out of 10, while their opponents scored zero each. By the end of the fourth round, it was mathematically impossible for them to lose the contest. They did win it with 27 points, with UPSA distantly following with 14 points, and Hilla Limann ending the contest with 13 points.
So our new champion is Atomic Hostels. Congratulations to them. Will they be the first to successfully defend the trophy in Season 3 or we will have a new champion?
