With defending champions EPSU shockingly eliminated in the semi-finals, the stage was wide open. The NBQ2025 UCC Grand Finale was anyone’s game—and the stakes had never been higher. For CASA, NUBS, and PENSA, this was the ultimate test of speed, strategy, and nerves.
Each team had taken a unique path to reach this point.
🔹 CASA stunned the crowd in Contest 1 with a breathtaking comeback against APOSA. They sealed the win with a rare cleansheet in the True or False round, showing they had both the depth and the discipline.
🔹 NUBS, on the other hand, turned heads by ending EPSU’s title defense in a razor-close contest. They maintained composure in the riddles and pulled off one of the most dramatic wins of the championship.
🔹 PENSA, ever consistent, made their third consecutive finals appearance after outlasting GHAMSU in a back-and-forth semifinal thriller. Their experience at this stage made them a strong favorite.
Clearly, this was not just a final—it was a battle of titans.
Round 1 – Speed Race
Right from the buzzer, CASA showed why they belonged on this stage. They raced ahead, answering quickly and confidently to build an early lead with 11 points. Meanwhile, NUBS stumbled under pressure, unable to register a single point. PENSA, unusually shaky, fell into the negatives with (-2).
Although it was just the first round, the scoresheet told a powerful story. CASA had momentum. NUBS and PENSA had catching up to do.
Final Round – The Riddles
Going into the final stretch, every riddle counted. The tension in the room was palpable. CASA kept their focus and secured 3 more points, solidifying their grip on the contest. Neither NUBS nor PENSA managed to respond successfully—an outcome that stunned many, given their track records in this round.
By the time the last riddle echoed through the room, the result was already written. CASA had done it.
